The iPhone 14 is not expected before the fall of 2022, but like every year, we are already starting to discover the smartphone little by little as the prototypes acquire new parts.
According to an analyst named Jeff Pu, the high-end models of the iPhone 14 series, i.e. the Pro models, will both come with a triple-lens photo setup that would include a 48 MP wide-angle main sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor as well as a 12 MP telephoto lens.
This information corroborates previous leaks from famous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who also believed the 2022 iPhones would house a 48 MP sensor. The use of a sensor with more megapixels will in particular allow iPhone to film in 8K, while current models are still limited to 4K definition. Apple could therefore finally catch up in this area on Android smartphones, which can already film in 8K for several years now.

IPhone 14 Pro will use a bit more RAM than current models
Jeff Pu added that the iPhone 14 Pro models are expected to offer 8GB of RAM. This is a bit more than the current iPhone 13 Pro models, which use 6 GB of RAM. We are still far from Android smartphones, since some models including the ASUS ROG Phone 5 Ultimate, for example, use up to 18 GB of RAM.
At the screen level, Jeff Pu thinks that the 4 iPhone 14 models will use a 120 Hz OLED panel, while only the Pro models currently offer this feature. However, another analyst, Ross Young, has revealed that it is more likely thatApple sticks to its 60Hz refresh rate displays on classic models.
For now, all this information should be taken with a grain of salt, since the release of the iPhone 14 series is not expected for a little less than a year. As a reminder, it will be made up of 4 different models, the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple having chosen to abandon the mini model because of the catastrophic sales of the iPhone 12 mini.
