Apple is preparing to enhance the Podcast Platform with new analytics tools and additional features for creators who want to take advantage of the opportunities of paid subscriptions.
Starting next month, all creators will be able to view subscriber statistics in Apple Podcasts Connect, as confirmed by Apple:
“From the Analytics tab, creators will be able to see subscribers by show and easily measure those metrics. After selecting a show, they can quickly see the number of new subscribers gained in the last week, last month, last 60 days, and forever.
They can also see the watch time metric as a percentage of those following and unfollowing the show. By navigating the Trends menu, creators can view a graph of followers over time and the number of followers gained or lost on a specific day or during a specific range. »
Creators will also be able to customize the banners offering a subscription, allowing for different messages for different broadcasts.
Recall that Apple introduced subscription podcasts in 2021, allowing creators to offer ad-free versions and subscriber-only content. Starting today, all creators enrolled in the Apple Podcasters Program can seek direct advice from the Apple Podcasts team to quickly increase their membership.
“Our global team can help podcasters build a channel, set up their subscription schedule, learn about subscription best practices, understand subscription reports, and more. Creators can also request assistance with transferring ownership of a podcast, creating an episode, and submitting a show. »
Finally, Apple Podcasts now supports mp3 files and WAV and FLAC files for subscriber audio streaming, making it even easier for non-technical creators to create and upload programs.
