Apple launches iPhones (13,12,11, SE) with new model numbers

Warning, don’t panic: Apple did not just release into the wild new iPhone models with unknown characteristics, the kind of “one more thing” commercial that would set the web in turmoil. Still, the Cupertino company is currently marketing iPhone 13, 12 and 11 (all versions/variants) as well as iPhone SE (latest version) with new model numbers and new EAN codes. (numbers that identify the products)!

Thus and for example, theiPhone 13 Black 128GB has as manufacturer’s model number MLPF3F/A (with EAN code 194252099308) , but the references visible on our price comparison now indicate a “V2” with the manufacturer’s model number MLPF3ZD/A (ean code 194252099537). What has changed in the meantime? No one knows, but in general a change of model number is accompanied by technical modifications, here probably minimal knowing that Apple has not communicated on these “new” products.

Note that not all e-tailers offer iPhones with the new model numbers. There are starting to be changes since today at Darty, FNAC and Boulanger, but it’s still the status quo at Amazon or Cdiscount.

New references are listed at Darty/Fnac/Boulanger
