UPDATE : This update shows the battery status of Beats Studio Buds on iOS devices whenever the charging case is open and close, similar to what happens with AirPods. A pop-up window then provides details about the battery level of the earphones and the charging case.

What’s new for the Beats Studio Buds?

Also, with this update, the Beats Studio Buds now support instant pairing via iCloud. Unlike AirPods and other Beats headphones with Apple chips, Beats Studio Buds did not support iCloud syncing, so the user had to manually pair them with each new device. Now, this limit has been eliminated with the latest firmware update.

Apple has also enabled new physical controls via the “b” button on the headphones. Users can now enable an option to change the volume level of the Beats Studio Buds by simply pressing the side buttons.

Just like with AirPods, there is no standard way to update Beats‌‌ software. Firmware is usually installed when the headphones are connected to an iOS device.

Apple’s all-new Beats headphones feature flexible tips for more in-ear comfort and silicone rubber tips. Plus, there’s no shortage of features like active noise cancellation, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking and an H1 chip to support “Hey Siri”.

Three colors are available: black, white and red. The retail price is €149.95.
