Apple has released the first official trailer for “WeCrashed,” a drama series starring Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway.
The series, which will arrive on Apple TV+ on Friday, March 18, 2022, tells the story of WeWork, the ambitious “greed-filled” coworking company that grew rapidly and then completely collapsed.
WeWork has been a very hot topic in the startup community in the United States, as this company was valued at nearly $50 billion at one point. Subsequently, the company then suffered a dramatic downturn due to mismanagement and alleged self-dealing by its co-founder and former CEO Adam Neumann. Upon submitting a prospectus for the initial public offering, severe losses were discovered, partly related to Neumann’s erratic behavior.
“WeCrashed” was created by Lee Eisenberg (Spirit Award nominee for “Little America” and “Good Boys”) and Drew Crevello (“The Long Dark”), and will be directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra (“This is Us”, “Crazy Stupid Love”). The two main actors will be Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto, both of whom are also executive producers of the series.
