The 2022 iPhone SE 3 is not far away, with Apple announcing it during a keynote in March or April according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
An Apple keynote in March or April for the iPhone SE 3
As you might expect, the March or April keynote for the iPhone SE 3 will only be online. The current situation with Covid-19 (and more exactly with the Omicron variant) does not help organize a physical event. We can also wonder how the health situation will evolve between now and June, when the WWDC will take place. This will be the occasion to discover iOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9 and tvOS 16.
As for the new smartphone, Mark Gurman confirms the rumors circulating. The device will look a lot (if not identical) to the current model, which builds on the design of the iPhone 8. The real changes will take place under the hood with a new processor (probably A15 like the iPhone 13) and support for 5G.
The keynote should also be an opportunity to discover other products, Apple is not going to organize a conference just for an evolving phone. It’s possible that new Macs will be in the game, potentially with a new 27-inch iMac and a Mac mini with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. But this point remains to be confirmed.
Apple usually announces its keynotes a week before they are held. We therefore still have time before an officialization for that of March or April.
