Apple is rumored to be able to launch its headset in late 2022, but Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu believes the presentation will be pushed back to 2023.

Jeff says Apple’s AR/VR headsets could be slightly delayed and launched in Q1 2023. The analyst also believes Apple will sell between 1 million and 1.5 million units in the first year of availability. and that the chip designed for this device will be a major differentiator from competitors. The headset is expected to have more than 10 combined sensors (including cameras), which will be made by Sony, Will Semi, Sunny Optical and other Asian vendors.

However, it is not excluded that in the year 2022, Apple will present the operating system to the viewers and give some previews on the device, in order to allow the developers to start developing the applications.
