“Escape from the office”, Apple’s funny video dedicated to teleworking

In 2019, Apple launched the fun “Apple at Work” campaign highlighting how business users can take advantage of iPhones, iPads and Macs. A year later, a new video reflects the same theme.

In “Escape from the office”, the protagonists are the employees who work from home due to the pandemic. Each decides to leave the company they work for and found their own startup to create a reinforced shopping bag that can replace two normal bags and be more environmentally friendly.

In the video, Apple sympathetically demonstrates how its products are also great for working from home, including sharing Wi-Fi passwords via AirDrop, Group FaceTime, Siri, and AR features. The company is also promoting its Apple Business Essentials platform, which combines device management, round-the-clock support and enterprise iCloud storage for businesses with up to 500 employees. Additionally, the video contains references to the popular Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso.

At the end of the story, the startup succeeds in creating the “BetterBag”, which captures the attention of its former boss, it seems.
