What’s new in iOS 15.2.1

According to Apple, iOS 15.2.1 corrects three bugs. The first is for the Messages app which might not upload photos sent using an iCloud link. It is now ancient history, the photos will indeed appear. The second bug fixed concerns third-party applications with CarPlay that could not react to user interactions. And the third bug is the one that affects HomeKit and can crash iPhone and iPad, as we detailed in this article.

There are no other new features with this version. This was to be expected anyway with an xx1 version. Apple usually offers new features with versions like iOS 15 or iOS 15.X. The next one is iOS 15.3, it is currently available in beta from public developers and testers.

To download the update, go to Settings> General> Software update. You will see iOS 15.2.1 appear. For some strange reason, the list of changes is not present. Probably a bug. In any case, you can start the download and then proceed with the installation. Installation time varies depending on your iPhone or iPad model.
