iOS 15.2: iFixit confirms that Face ID is no longer disabled when changing the screen

The final version of iOS 15.2 confirms the observation made on the previous beta version: Face ID is no longer disabled when changing the screen of an iPhone, a change in line with recent Apple decisions in favor of the right to repair. The iFixit site has thus replaced the screen, the battery and the photo unit of an iPhone 13 with the same components from another iPhone 13. So good news: Face ID continues to work this time, iFixit noticing only a few bugs on battery settings and True Tone display. Note that if we put the original components back in the iPhone 13, True Tone and the battery settings will return to normal operation.

Another notable point noted by iFixit, changes made to components are now listed in a repair history output. It is certainly not yet perfect, but the changes made really go in the direction of greater user freedom.
