iOS 15 Share Installing 63 Percent January 2022

The official install shares of iOS 15 by Apple

In detail, 63% of iPhones run on iOS 15, 30% on iOS 14 and 7% on earlier versions. If we take only the models released in the last four years, then the install share of iOS 15 is 72%, that of iOS 14 26% and previous versions 2%.

iOS 15 is therefore less popular than iOS 14. As of December 2020, iOS 14 was installed on 72% of iPhones and 81% of models released in the past four years. It must be said that Apple changed its policy this year, no longer pushing users to install iOS 15. Indeed, they can always stay on iOS 14 and continue to receive security updates. This format seems to suit many people.

On the iPad side, iPadOS 15 is installed on 49% of Apple tablets. The share is 57% if we take the tablets that have emerged in the last four years. As of December 2020, iPadOS 14 was installed on 70% of iPads and 84% of models released in the last four years.
