It’s gone for theiPhone 14 ! As always around mid-February, Apple’s suppliers are getting underway to test the supply chain for the next iPhone model. If we are to believe the UDN site, Apple has therefore started the trial production phase of the iPhone 14, which consists of producing the future model in small quantities, the objective here being to “stall” suppliers. and adjust the final details (parameterization and adjustment of machine tools, for example). It is also during this phase that we resolve last-minute problems, those that appear in real production conditions and which had not been foreseen during the planning of the project.
To note that Luxshare would not be present during this trial phase of the iPhone 14 Pro, which would seem to indicate that the supplier could be little or not at all involved in the final production of this model (but it will of course be on the supply chain of iPhone 14). As a reminder, and if we stick to the rumors, the iPhone 14 would be available in 4 models (two iPhone 14s, an iPhone 14 Pro and an iPhone 14 Pro Max), but there would be no more iPhone 14 mini. The two ranges would differ in a few details: a slightly larger screen size on the Pro models, 8 GB of RAM on these same models and a larger photo block on the side of the iPhone 14 Pro (which perhaps a 48 megapixel main sensor and a large telescopic zoom sensor).
The iPhone 14 and 14 Pro would however share many specifications in common: the photo sensors would hardly protrude from the case on the two ranges, the notch would disappear in favor of a punch camera (the Face ID sensors would be placed under the screen), WiFi 6E would be introduced, and of course, both models will be powered by the very powerful A16 processor. The big surprise could ultimately come from the price. Ming Chi Kuo thus foresees a rather drastic price drop on both ranges.
