Our colleagues at 9to5Mac believe they have good sources for new details on theiPhone 14 which will be unveiled by Apple in the month of September. Thus, the new range of iPhone 14/14 Pro would come in 4 models: the iPhone 14 would be available in two models of 6.1 and 6.7 inches (code names D27 and D28), the iPhone mini and its 5.4-inch slab disappearing from circulation. The resolution of the panels would be identical to that of the current iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. On the other hand, the panels of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max (D73 and D74) could display a slightly larger diagonal in order to facilitate the replacement of the notch by a hole the “pill” combo + very small hole.
The site’s sources also confirm the information provided a few hours ago by Ming Chi Kuo: the two iPhone 14 models will have the A15 processor (possibly “marketed” in A15X) with perhaps an additional GPU core while the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will benefit from the A16. All iPhone 14/14 pro would ship 6 GB of RAM this year.
Apple is also reportedly working on a mobile-to-satellite text communication technology, but 9to5Mac cannot say whether this innovation will be integrated into the next iPhone 14 range. Prototypes of iPhones equipped with this satellite communication system are already in the works. tests (internally codenamed Stewie).
