Bonuses offered by Foxconn

According to South China Morning Post, Foxconn is offering returning workers a signing bonus of 9,500 yuan (1,320 euros), in addition to a monthly salary of 6,865 yuan (954 euros). The production site in Zhengzhou has more than 250,000 employees and produces more than 80% of iPhones.

The company also promises a reward of 8,500 yuan (1,181 euros) to new recruits hired through its internal referral program, as well as 1,000 yuan (139 euros) for the corresponding referrer. New employees who applied on their own are offered a bonus of 9,000 yuan (1,251 euros).

This is not the first time that Foxconn has offered such bonuses. The group had already offered some last summer when the iPhone 13 was being produced. It was looking for a lot of people to produce a large quantity of iPhone 13. This time, Foxconn wants enough employees to be able to continued good production as the Chinese New Year holidays approach (January 31 to February 6). During this period, several workers generally return home to reunite with their families.
