The M2 processor Apple has been working on for months is set to make its way to the next 13″ MacBook Air and MacBook (Pro) expected by the end of 2022.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple will unveil the new versions of the 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro after the September iPhone event, likely with a keynote held between October and November. The most interesting part is that the M2 chip could make its way to these two models, providing users with improved performance and optimizations.
The rumor however contrasts with what analyst Ming Chi-Kuo said, who believes that the next MacBook Air will continue to mount a version of the M1 chip. As for the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the source says Apple may ditch the “Pro” label, identifying the new machine just as simply as “MacBook” as the company has done in the past.
