Apple’s new Studio Display firmware contains references to an as-yet-unreleased Mac mini.
As thedeveloper Steve Troughton-Smith, the Studio Display firmware code explicitly speaks of a Macmini10.1, a model never released by Apple. According to Troughton-Smith, this would be the Mac mini M2 that Apple should launch by the end of the year, if not at WWDC 2022 on June 16.
“Rumors are unclear about new Macs to come; for what it’s worth, there’s a concrete clue: the Studio Display firmware references a mysterious and unknown machine: a new generation of Mac mini models (“Macmini 10.1”). My opinion: M2, not M1 Pro. »
Other leakers have also spoken of the arrival of a Mac mini M2 by the end of the year, while with regard to the WWDC there is talk insistently of a new MacBook Air and a Low-end MacBook Pro. However, we can’t rule out the arrival of the new Mac mini in June at this point.
