Right now we know there isn’t much to do, Apple is still very quick to renew what appears to be a successful title. While it hasn’t updated every series featured on Apple TV + from the start, most of them have lasted for more than a season at least. Truth Be Told has two seasons under his belt, with a third coming very soon.
Announced today by Apple TV +, the anthology series will soon offer viewers a third season. The next season will continue with the protagonist, Octavia Spencer, who will also retain her role as executive producer. Nichelle Tramble Spellman is still the executive producer of the series she created, but Maisha Closson (How to Get Away With Murder) will take on the showrunner role for the third season.
Spellman issued this statement regarding its renewal:
“I am delighted that Poppy Scoville’s journey continues on Apple TV +. And I’m delighted to welcome Maisha Closson as our new showrunner and executive producer. I can’t wait to show you everything we have in store for you. “
In Truth Be Told, there are mysteries to be unraveled. But the series centers on Poppy Scoville, Spencer’s character. She is a podcaster who seeks “truth and justice” even though she could be life threatening. The entire title is based on the novel written by Kathleen Barber.
The first season saw Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) alongside Spencer. Meanwhile, the second season, which just ended not long ago on Apple TV +, stars Kate Hudson (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days).
It is not yet clear what season three will focus on or who could take on the role of co-star. In the meantime, let us know in the comments space if you’ve seen Truth Be Told? What did you think of it? Would you recommend this series?
