There are no further details at this time, but we do know that Apple plans to release TSMC’s first 3-nanometer chip devices in 2023, including the new M3-processor Macs and iPhone 15s with the chip A17.

Shifting to a more advanced manufacturing process will result in improved performance and power efficiency, leading to faster speeds and longer battery life on future Macs and iPhones.

According to the latest rumors, Apple’s M3 chips will have up to four dies, allowing CPU configurations of up to 40 cores. Today, M1 Pro and M1 Max processors have 10 cores.
