Vanessa Kirby to replace Jodie Comer in Ridley Scott’s “Kitbag”

Actress Vanessa Kirby to star in Ridley Scott’s upcoming Apple TV + film titled ” Kitbag Which will focus on the life of Napoleon. He will succeed Jodie Comer, who left production due to scheduling problems.

Vanessa Kirby is an actress best known for the film “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” and for her performance in “Pieces of a Woman” which earned her an Oscar nomination. According to Deadline, Kirby’s reps are negotiating the deal before production on the film begins next spring.

The film “Kitbag” will be directed by Ridley Scott and will chronicle the life of Napoleon, focusing on his rocky relationship with the Empress Josephine. Joaquin Phoenix will play Napoleon. The film is written by David Scarpa, formerly known for “The Master of the High Castle”, “All the Money in the World” and the 2008 remake of “Ultimatum to Earth”.

“Kitbag” will be shot in the UK and produced for Apple by Scott’s production company, “Scott Free”.
